Laos Morning Market

We started today at the morning market in LP. It starts at 4am but gratefully we didn't start our tour until 9am - after the Monks. This market is focused on local fruits and veggies with also some chicken, pork, buffalo. The live frogs in a basket were trying valiantly to secure their freedom, but alas were not successful. They did seem quite fat and succulent. The quality of the produce was quite high and in addition to items you would find in Toronto markets we also saw: sticky rice, bamboo, mangosteens, larvae, banana flowers and much more.

  1. Wow... kind of like fans lined up outside of Graceland... but not.
